Hi im Dan Jones I am 25yrs old and married to my lovely wife Carly.I have been racing for The Cricketers Arms for 2 years now which is the home of lawn mower racing.
 I race with a shady character Les Goodman(aka Rocky) and Ian Thurston(aka Funky).
I first got into lawn mower racing by setting a challenge to get a team together for the 12 hour 2006 to race against Les Goodman and my Dad (Steve Jones) WHO ARE ALOT OLDER HAHAHA!!!! I thought i could get a young team with no brains to beat the old gits! Les has always right from the start helped me to find, buy and build my group 3 lawn bug for the 12 hour even though we were racing against them for the same pub team. He has also carried on helping and teaching me all about lawn mowers.

My first lawn bug i purchased from Alex Kemp for the sum of £*** it was not your Rolls Royce of lawn mowers but it ran and came with a 8hp engine, steering wheel, four wheels, and a seat. This enabled me to ride up and down our estate to find out the brakes didn't work, here was my first job to be done before my first race.
